Plymouth County CISM: psychological first aid for the people who give everyone else theirs.<\/h2>\n

Critical Incident Stress Management is a comprehensive, multi-component system of crisis intervention and peer support designed specifically for emergency service personnel. However, it is not<\/strong> psychotherapy. Instead, it is timely, practical help and human connection after a critical incident \u2014 and, when needed, a warm hand-off to licensed clinicians who understand responder culture.<\/p>\n

Our team is made up of firefighters, company officers, police officers, EMTs and paramedics, dispatchers, nurses, chaplains and licensed mental health professionals who volunteer their time to care for their own. In addition, every member completes nationally recognized training in crisis intervention and peer support.<\/p>\n
