Landscaper service in Wrentham, MA

One crew, one schedule, and a property that never looks neglected

Looking for property maintenance in Wrentham, MA? Ten Four Landscape & Construction has handled it for homeowners, business owners and property managers across Norfolk County since 2012. Our Wrentham yard is also right here in town.

Property maintenance is the service most people call us about first, and the one that decides whether the rest of the landscape ever looks the way it should. A patio or a new lawn is only as good as the care it gets afterward. A property that gets a mow one week and nothing the next also never looks finished. Wrentham homeowners have relied on us as their local landscaper for years. So we bring that same approach to every property maintenance job in town.

We build our maintenance program around a written schedule: what happens, how often and at what price for the season. Weekly mowing and trimming, bed edging and weeding, spring and fall mulch, pruning at the right time of year, and the clean-ups that bookend the season. We adjust for the weather, not the calendar, so the mowing height and the fertilizer timing follow what the grass actually needs.

Why Wrentham, MA homeowners call Ten Four for Property Maintenance

Wrentham is home base for Ten Four. Our yard sits on West Street, so a job anywhere in town is close-to-home work for us. That includes the historic common where Route 1A meets Route 140 as well as the Sheldonville neighborhoods on the west side. We know the properties here: large wooded lots with granite ledge just under the topsoil, and older village homes with mature trees and tired plantings. Then there are the newer subdivisions, where builder-grade grading and a thin layer of loam turn into drainage and lawn problems within a few seasons.

Much of Wrentham sits on glacial till over ledge, which means shallow bedrock in places, stones in every shovelful and soil that drains unevenly. Low ground around Lake Pearl and Lake Archer stays wet well into spring, while the higher, rockier lots dry out fast in July. That combination is exactly why base preparation, drainage and soil correction matter so much here. It is also why we look at the ground before we put a number on paper.

Property Maintenance benefits for Wrentham, MA properties

  • The property looks cared for every single week, not just after a clean-up
  • We catch problems early, while they are cheap to fix
  • Pruning at the right time means shrubs actually bloom
  • One accountable company and one invoice for the whole property
  • We manage the lawn, beds and trees together, so nothing works against anything else

Problems we fix most often

Most people in Wrentham call us about property maintenance because something has already gone wrong. Others, meanwhile, want to make sure it never does. In short, these are the issues we see most often. Every one of them is also preventable when we do the work right the first time:

  • A lawn service that shows up late, skips weeks or sends a different crew every visit
  • Beds full of weeds because nobody touches them between mulch applications
  • Shrubs sheared into balls at the wrong time of year, so they never flower
  • Grass scalped in July and burned out by August
  • Three separate vendors, three invoices and nobody responsible for the whole property
  • Nobody noticing a drainage or pest problem until it is expensive

What’s included

  • Weekly mowing, string trimming and blowing
  • Bed edging, weeding and mulch top-dressing
  • Pruning and shaping on a horticultural schedule
  • Spring and fall clean-ups
  • Fertilizer and lawn treatments as scheduled
  • A season-long written scope and one monthly invoice

Above all, every one of those items is part of the price we quote, not an upsell. When we scope property maintenance for a Wrentham property, we spell out exactly what you get. So there are no surprises on the invoice, and no corners cut where you cannot see them.

How Property Maintenance works in Wrentham, MA

We keep the process simple and predictable so you always know what is happening and what comes next. Here is how a property maintenance job runs in Wrentham, MA with Ten Four, from the first call to the final walkthrough. The owner is also reachable at every step.

01

Walk the property

Seth walks the whole property with you, notes every bed, lawn area, tree and problem spot, and asks what you want it to look like by midsummer.

02

Set the schedule

You get a written season plan: visit frequency, what happens on each visit, and what happens monthly or seasonally, with a price for the year.

03

Same crew, every visit

The same crew shows up on the same day each week, so they know your property, your gate and your dog, and they notice when something changes.

04

Adjust as the season moves

Mowing height, watering advice, fertilizer timing and pruning windows follow the weather. If something needs attention, you hear about it before it costs you.

What drives the price

Honest answer: we price property maintenance in Wrentham, MA by the job rather than off a rate card. Why? Because no two properties are the same. Generally, anyone who quotes a firm price over the phone without seeing the site is guessing. That guess usually turns into a change order later. So here are a few of the things that move the price up or down:

Lawn area, bed square footage and how much edge there is to keep clean

How many visits per season and which services are on the schedule

The condition of the property when we start

Extras like irrigation checks, pest treatments or seasonal plantings

When to schedule Property Maintenance in Wrentham, MA

Maintenance programs start in April with the spring clean-up and run through the final leaf pickup in late November. But we take on new properties any time the ground stays soft enough to work. The earlier in the season you start, the less catch-up work there is and the better the lawn looks by June.

Signs it’s time to call

  • You are spending weekends catching up instead of enjoying the yard
  • The current service is unreliable or the crew changes constantly
  • Beds, shrubs and lawn all look tired at the same time
  • A rental, commercial or managed property needs someone accountable

Certainly, plenty of people will quote you property maintenance in Wrentham. But here is what you get with Ten Four Landscape & Construction that you do not get everywhere else:

  • A schedule in writing — you know what happens each visit and what it costs for the season.
  • Same crew every week — people who know your property and notice when something is off.

Property Maintenance questions from Wrentham, MA customers

How much does property maintenance cost in Wrentham, MA?
It depends on the size of the property, site access and the materials involved, as well as the season. Estimates for property maintenance in Wrentham, MA are free and in writing. Seth also walks the property with you first, so the number reflects the real job, not a guess.
How often will you come?
Most residential properties are on a weekly mowing schedule from April through November, with bed work, pruning and mulch on a monthly or seasonal rotation. We can set up commercial properties on any frequency the property needs.
Can I just get mowing without the rest?
Yes. We offer mow-only service, but most customers find that adding bed care and seasonal clean-ups to the same visit costs less than hiring someone else to do it later.
Do you handle commercial and HOA properties?
Yes. Commercial and managed properties get a written scope, certificates of insurance on file and a single point of contact who answers the phone.

More Property Maintenance questions, answered

What happens when it rains on my scheduled day?
We shift by a day and let you know. We would rather mow a day late than rut a wet lawn.
Do you offer a seasonal contract or month to month?
Both. A season-long agreement gets the best pricing and locks in your day, but we will also work visit to visit if that fits your situation better.
Can you take over a property that nobody has kept up?
Yes. We start with a recovery clean-up to get the beds, edges and lawn back to a baseline, then move onto the regular schedule.

Wrentham history and geography

History

In 1660, five men from Dedham were sent to explore the lakes near George Indian's wigwam and to report back to the selectmen what they found. The report of those men, Daniel Fisher, Anthony Fisher, Sgt. Fuller, Richard Ellis, and Richard Wheeler, was received with such enthusiasm that in March 1661 it was voted to start a new settlement there. The Town then voted to send Ellis and Timothy Dwight to go negotiate with King Philip to purchase the title to the area known as Wollomonopoag.
They purchased 600 acres of land for £24, 6s. The money was paid out of pocket by Captain Willett, who accompanied Ellis and Dwight. The Town voted to assess a tax upon the cow commons to repay him, but some thought the money should be paid by those who would be moving to the new village. The dispute resulted in Willet not being paid back for several years.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 22.9 square miles (59 km²), of which 22.2 square miles (57 km²) is land and 0.7 square miles (1.8 km²) (3.14%) is water. It has two large lakes towards the center of town, Lake Pearl and Lake Archer, as well as Mirror Lake on the Wrentham/Norfolk border and numerous smaller lakes.
Sheldonville, or West Wrentham, is a rural section of Wrentham located on the western leg of town. They are the Charles River to the north, the Taunton River to the east, the Blackstone River to the west, and the Ten Mile River to the south.
Wrentham is the only town of that name in the United States. It is named after the village of Wrentham, Suffolk, England. The only other Wrentham is Wrentham, Alberta. Wrentham, Massachusetts, is by far the most populous of the three.
