Privacy policy. Plain language, no surprises.

This privacy policy explains what information pccism.org collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Last updated October 7, 2026.

Who we are

This website belongs to the Plymouth County Critical Incident Stress Management Team (PCCISM), a volunteer peer-support team organized under the Plymouth County Fire and Rescue Training Association. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 2080, Abington, MA 02351. You can reach us at plymouthcountycism@gmail.com or (781) 983-4565.

What this privacy policy covers

This privacy policy covers information you share through this website only. For example, it covers the contact form, email links and any analytics tools we use. However, it does not describe how we handle conversations during a debriefing, defusing or one-on-one peer support. Those conversations follow our confidentiality practices, which you can read about on our About page.

Information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you. In particular, we may collect:

  • Your name, phone number and email address when you submit the contact form.
  • Your department or agency, role and town, if you choose to share them.
  • The message you write to us.
  • Basic technical data, such as your browser type and the pages you visit, through standard web analytics.

We never ask for Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or medical records through this website. Please do not send them.

How we use your information

First, we use your contact details to follow up on your request. Second, we use them to schedule trainings, debriefings or events you asked about. Third, we use anonymous analytics to understand which pages help people most. We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. Likewise, we do not use your information for advertising.

Who can see your information

Form submissions go to the PCCISM coordinators by email. In addition, our website provider, New Advantage, Inc., may see submissions while maintaining the site. Both parties keep your information private. We share information with others only when the law requires it, or when someone’s safety is at risk.

Third-party services

Some parts of this website rely on outside services. For example, donations run through Venmo, fonts load from Google Fonts, and our contact form uses reCAPTCHA to block spam. Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Therefore, we encourage you to read them before you use those features.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies so that pages load correctly and so that we can measure traffic. You can block cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the site will still work, although some features may behave differently.

How we protect your information

The site uses an SSL certificate, so information travels encrypted between your browser and our server. In addition, we limit access to form submissions to a small number of team members. Still, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. So if you prefer, you can always call us instead of using the form.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete the information you sent through this website at any time. Simply email plymouthcountycism@gmail.com, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

This website is intended for adults. As a result, we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

We link to partner teams, crisis lines and resources that we trust. However, we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites. For instance, when you call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, their policies apply.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
